What we collect, why we collect it, and the controls you have. Written to be read, not skimmed past.
1 · What we collect
To sell and deliver digital files we process the minimum we can get away with:
- Account & order data — name, email, billing country, order history. Needed to deliver files, issue receipts and honour lifetime re-downloads.
- Payment data — handled entirely by our payment processors. Card numbers never reach or rest on our servers.
- Technical data — IP address, browser and pages visited, via cookies and analytics (see our cookies policy).
2 · Why we process it
- Contract — delivering your purchases and running your account.
- Legitimate interest — fraud prevention, site security, improving the catalogue.
- Consent — marketing emails (only if you opt in; unsubscribe is one click) and non-essential cookies.
- Legal obligation — tax and accounting records where the law requires them.
3 · Who sees it
No selling, no renting, no “trusted partners” lists. Data is shared only with the processors that make the store work — payment providers, email delivery, hosting and analytics — each bound by their own compliance obligations, and with authorities where the law compels us.
4 · How long we keep it
Order records are kept for as long as tax law requires. Your account (and its download library) persists until you ask us to delete it. Analytics data is retained on the analytics provider’s standard rolling window.
5 · Your rights
Depending on your jurisdiction (GDPR, CCPA and similar) you may request: access to your data, correction, deletion, a portable copy, restriction of processing, or objection to it. Email support@clinicapedia.com — we respond within 30 days, usually much faster.
6 · Security
TLS encryption on every page, encrypted checkout, hashed passwords, least-access administration. No system is invulnerable, but yours is not the account we’d lose sleep over.
7 · Children
Clinicapedia is a professional resource and not directed at anyone under 16. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8 · Changes
If this policy changes materially we’ll flag it on the site and update the date below. Continued use after a change means acceptance.
