Inside the course
Obstetrics and maternal-fetal medicine
Induction, second-stage management, twins and complex caesareans lead into anaemia, perinatal depression, medical abortion and pregnancy of unknown location. MFM talks add first-trimester anatomy scanning, prenatal genetic testing, substance use, STIs, diabetes, obesity, hypertensive disease and accreta.
Surgery and the pelvic floor
Specimen extraction, pelvic pain, robotic benign surgery and setting up office hysteroscopy anchor the MIGS block, while urogynecology covers prolapse, recurrent UTI, postpartum urinary retention and incontinence screening.
Harvard Update in Obstetrics and Gynecology on gynaecologic cancer
Abnormal cervical results, deciding which lesions to treat or refer, endometrial neoplasia, GTN, adnexal masses, hereditary risk counselling, obesity’s effect on cancer care and care in resource-limited regions are each paired with a panel.
Fertility, adolescence and midlife
Infertility work-up, ovulation induction, IVF and genetic counselling precede abnormal bleeding, recurrent pregnancy loss, paediatric and adolescent cases and transgender care. The final block tackles fracture risk, the midlife brain, sexual dysfunction, hormone therapy for 2026, fibroids and osteoporosis.
