Harvard Lancaster Course in Ophthalmology 2023 — the classic basic-science review in 88 recordings
The Harvard Lancaster Course in Ophthalmology 2023 captures the virtual edition of a review course that Massachusetts Eye and Ear and Harvard Medical School have run since 1946 for young ophthalmologists worldwide. Across four weeks, faculty take you from embryology, optics and genetics through every clinical subspecialty; this set contains 88 lecture recordings from that programme, including the multi-part optics series and long retina and orbit blocks.

Inside the course
Basic science and optics
Embryology, motor physiology, genetics, trials and epidemiology set the foundation, followed by an optics block taught by Guyton, Irsch, Miller, Tarczy-Hornoch and colleagues over two days.
Anterior segment and glaucoma
Cataract assessment, phaco step by step, keratoplasty, keratitis, dry eye and refractive surgery sit alongside a glaucoma sequence from Netland, Solá-Del Valle, Shen and Tanna covering lasers, filtration surgery, drainage devices and MIGS.
The Harvard Lancaster Course in ophthalmology subspecialties
Retina, uveitis, paediatrics and strabismus, oculoplastics and orbit each get dedicated multi-part lectures, with orbital trauma, thyroid eye disease and ptosis surgery covered in depth.
Neuro-ophthalmology and pathology
Bouffard, Torun, Chwalisz and Andrew Lee handle visual fields, pupils, optic neuropathies and eye movement disorders, while Eagle and Milman teach the pathology sections.

Faculty & syllabus
Before you buy
Is every optics part present?
Probably not. The Day 1 optics recordings appear as Parts 1, 2, 2 and 4, suggesting Part 3 is missing or mislabelled; the Day 2 optics series is complete in six parts.
Is this the live Zoom teaching or the gallery recordings?
The files are lecture recordings made for the 2023 virtual course; live interaction from the Zoom sessions is not something you can take part in.
What file size should I expect?
No download size is stated, so allow generous space for 88 video files.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
