MSKCC The Pathology of Neoplastic Diseases 2026 — GU, GI and thoracic tumour pathology from Memorial Sloan Kettering
MSKCC The Pathology of Neoplastic Diseases 2026 records Memorial Sloan Kettering’s four-and-a-half-day review, held from 27 April to 1 May 2026, of three tumour-heavy subspecialties: genitourinary, gastrointestinal and thoracic pathology. Talks weave immunohistochemistry, molecular testing and therapeutic biomarkers into morphology-first teaching, and fellows’ case sessions add the unusual material only a high-volume cancer centre sees. Lectures come as videos with VTT subtitle files and PDFs.

What you’ll be able to do
- Apply current WHO, IASLC and AJCC 9 criteria to tumours and tumour-like lesions
- Grade and report prostate, renal and urothelial cancers with molecular context
- Work up pancreatobiliary, hepatic, appendiceal and neuroendocrine GI neoplasms
- Diagnose lung cancer on small biopsies, cytology and frozen section
- Order and interpret predictive biomarkers for GI, GU and lung tumours
Inside the course
Genitourinary track
From atypical intraductal prostate proliferations and needle-core grading to hereditary renal syndromes, clear-cell mimics, penile cancer and AI in GU diagnosis, the GU days blend morphology with molecular implications.
Gastrointestinal and pancreatobiliary track
Sessions cover anal and appendiceal tumours, colorectal staging, upper GI neoplasms, mesenchymal and neuroendocrine lesions, cystic pancreatic tumours on histology and cytology, cholangiocarcinoma and hepatocellular tumours.
Thoracic track in the pathology of neoplastic diseases
Lung classification, IASLC neuroendocrine categories, frozen sections, pleural and mediastinal tumours and molecular testing are rounded off with thoracic unknowns and fellowship favourite cases.
Beyond the three organ systems
Standalone talks on the adult adrenal gland and neuroblastoma reporting, plus question-and-answer sessions, complete the programme.
