Penn Medicine Glomerular Disease Webinar 2026 — B-cell targeting in IgA nephropathy, lupus nephritis and membranous disease
Penn Medicine New Horizons in Nephrology Glomerular Disease Webinar 2026 is a three-hour evening program from 26 February 2026 built around a single idea: the B cell as the engine of immune glomerular injury and the target of a fast-growing drug class. After a talk on B-cell physiology and monitoring, Penn faculty apply anti-CD20, CD19 and BAFF/APRIL strategies to IgA nephropathy, lupus nephritis, membranous nephropathy and primary podocytopathy, then test them against three real cases and two open panels.

What you’ll be able to do
- Explain how B cells drive glomerular disease through autoantibodies, antigen presentation and cytokines
- Monitor B-cell depletion and interpret what the numbers mean for relapse risk
- Place rituximab, obinutuzumab and BAFF/APRIL blockers in current treatment sequences
- Build B-cell-directed plans for IgA nephropathy and lupus nephritis
- Apply targeted therapy to membranous nephropathy and primary podocytopathy
Inside the course
The biology first
An opening lecture on the physiology of the B-cell pathway, how it is monitored and where drugs intervene gives the rest of the evening its framework.
Penn Medicine glomerular disease targets
Three disease talks follow: B-cell strategies in IgA nephropathy, updated protocols for lupus nephritis, and targeted options in membranous nephropathy and primary podocytopathy.
Cases and questions
Case presentations in membranous nephropathy, lupus nephritis and IgA nephropathy put the theory to work, and two Ask the Panel sessions take audience questions on the grey areas.
Built for
- Nephrologists with glomerular clinicsA focused refresher on the most active therapeutic area in the field.
- Internal medicine physiciansClear explanations of agents their patients may already be receiving.
- FellowsShort, case-anchored sessions that are easy to review with the subtitle files.

Before you buy
Does the Penn webinar name its faculty?
Session titles are listed, but individual speakers are not. There are six PDFs for nine videos, so not every session has a handout.
Is this related to the Penn kidney transplant program?
Both belong to Penn’s New Horizons in Nephrology series; the 2026 transplantation day is sold separately as MS-33771.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
