Columbia Renal Biopsy Course 2025 — pathologists and clinicians reading the same slide together
The Columbia Renal Biopsy Course 2025 (Videos + Slides) records three days of teaching held 16–18 July 2025, in which renal pathologists explain what the biopsy shows and clinical nephrologists then explain what to do about it. Vivette D’Agati, Agnes Fogo, Gerald Appel, J. Charles Jennette, Robert Colvin and colleagues work through nephrotic and nephritic disease, genetics, tubulointerstitial and vascular injury, transplant pathology and dysproteinaemias, with a clinical-case lunch session every day.

What you’ll be able to do
- Correlate light, immunofluorescence and electron microscopy findings with the clinical picture
- Explain how complement drives C3 glomerulopathy and where complement-targeting drugs fit
- Recognise when a biopsy suggests a genetic glomerulopathy and refer for testing promptly
- Decide which patients with glomerular disease merit a repeat biopsy
- Classify transplant rejection, drug toxicity and recurrent disease on allograft tissue
- Work up amyloid, fibrillary GN and crystalline nephropathies linked to monoclonal proteins
Inside the course
Day 1: podocytopathies, membranous and C3 disease
After a lecture on glomerular histophysiology, pathology and therapy talks are paired for MCD and FSGS, membranous nephropathy with its newly described antigens, and membranoproliferative GN and C3 glomerulopathy. Diabetic kidney disease pathology and a state-of-the-art lecture on glomerular disease in pregnancy end the day.
Day 2: crescents, IgA, infection and paraproteins
ANCA and anti-GBM disease, IgA nephropathy and IgA vasculitis, and infection-related GN are each covered from both the microscope and the clinic. The afternoon adds dysproteinaemic disease, the 41st Conrad L. Pirani Lecture, TMA, and viral glomerular disease.
Day 3: genes, lupus, transplant and toxicity
Hereditary nephropathies, integrating biopsy with genetic testing and an APOL1 update precede lupus nephritis pathology and modern therapy. A two-part transplant pathology block, acute interstitial nephritis, and paired onconephrology and nephrotoxicity talks close the course.
Columbia Renal Biopsy Course case lunches
Each day includes a working-lunch session of renal biopsy clinical cases, where the principles from the lectures are applied to real specimens.

Before you buy
Are the daily biopsy case sessions attributed to a speaker?
No presenter is named for the three working-lunch case sessions, so they appear in the list under their day rather than a faculty name.
How big is the download?
No file size or runtime has been published; expect a multi-gigabyte set of lecture videos with slide files.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
