Jan Hajtó’s veneer protocol — from non-prep laminates to 360° designs, checked against occlusion and built digitally
German aesthetic dentist and author of “Anteriores” Jan Hajtó explains in Anterior Veneers: Digital manufacturing protocols for functional and aesthetic restorations how he plans, prepares and produces anterior laminate veneers that last. Five lessons over 3 h 15 min move from biomechanics and material choice through invasive designs and lithium disilicate, TMD screening and anterior guidance, to side-by-side analogue and digital fabrication workflows.

What you’ll be able to do
- Choose between non-prep, minimally invasive and full veneers for a given case
- Match feldspathic porcelain or lithium disilicate to the indication
- Screen for TMD and muscle problems before committing to ceramics
- Design anterior and canine guidance that protects thin restorations
- Run a digital veneer workflow with photos, scans, smile design and virtual mock-up
Inside the course
Biomechanics, adhesion and material logic
The first two lessons deal with the biomimetic rationale, dentin bond strength and ceramic properties, then set out indications, preparation designs and luting materials. Additive partial veneers, the cut-back technique, 360° veneers and a case of amelogenesis imperfecta follow.
Function first
Lessons three and four argue that function decides a veneer’s lifespan. Hajtó uses the Ahlers/Jakstat screening, muscle palpation and interference detection, then the sequential guiding surfaces concept, dynamic occlusion and avoidance of balancing contacts.
Analogue versus digital production
The longest lesson (1 h 04 min) compares a wax-up, direct mock-up and silicone key route with a digital path: photo protocol, shade measurement, intraoral scanning, 3D smile visualisation, digital tooth modelling and pressing, ending in a Q&A.
About Jan Hajtó
He belongs to the German Association for Aesthetic Dentistry (DGÄZ), created a 3D anterior tooth library used in exocad systems, and lectures internationally on aesthetics and CAD/CAM.

Before you buy
Does it include a live preparation on a patient?
The programme is organised as five lectures with topic lists; no separate chairside demonstration is listed.
Is exocad or another design program taught step by step?
Digital modelling and virtual mock-ups are covered as part of the workflow, but it is not a software tutorial.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
