Harvard Emergency Medicine Updates & Current Practices 2026 — five days of ED pearls, POCUS and resuscitation

Harvard Emergency Medicine Updates & Current Practices 2026 is the recorded version of Harvard’s five-day livestream held from 27 April to 1 May 2026, supplied as videos with slides. Forty talks mix bread-and-butter ED problems such as burns, scrotal pain, hand injuries and ocular emergencies with cardiac arrest science, the 2026 ischaemic stroke guidelines, a full POCUS day, informatics and AI, and the realities of boarding and professionalism.

  • 40recorded talks
  • 5course days
  • 36speakers
  • 2026course

What you’ll be able to do

  • Recognise ischaemia and tachydysrhythmias on the ECG and act on them
  • Apply current therapy for cardiac arrest and refractory VF
  • Carry the top 2026 acute ischaemic stroke guideline changes into your shift
  • Use point-of-care ultrasound for heart, lung, eFAST, line and LP guidance and paediatric cases
  • Manage PE and DVT with up-to-date algorithms, including echo in pulmonary embolism
  • Treat septic shock with push-dose pressors and practical vasopressor pearls

Inside the course

  1. Days 1–2: systems, trauma and the airway

Burns, geriatric falls, the harm of boarding for older patients, mild head trauma and ARDS share the opening days with AI and clinical informatics, patient experience, innovation, tele-disaster work from COVID to Ukraine, newborn fever and airway advances.

  2. Harvard Emergency Medicine POCUS and resuscitation day

Day 3 is built around ultrasound, then turns to ischaemic ECGs, acute PE, push-dose pressors, severe alcohol withdrawal and a myth-busting talk on blood pressure monitoring.

  3. Days 4–5: specialty emergencies

Psychiatric presentations, VF arrest, stroke, cranial nerve deficits, paediatric literature, athletes on the field, hand injuries, STIs, altitude illness, frostbite, sustainability, postpartum haemorrhage, septic shock and eye emergencies complete the week.

Before you buy

Are video count, running time and size specified?

No. The package is described as videos plus slides, and the 40 talks below come from the day-by-day programme; the opening welcome is not counted.

Why does one Day 5 title look odd?

The wilderness medicine talk by N. Stuart Harris carries a title that seems to merge two topic names; it is shown exactly as programmed.

Do I get CME credit or a certificate?

No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
