Inside the course
Practice of urgent care and chief complaints
Opening lessons deal with stewardship, charting, safe referral, shared decisions and sports physicals before working through presenting complaints such as kidney stones, testicular pain, vaginal bleeding and vomiting with diarrhoea.
Infections, skin, eyes, ENT and neurology
Lyme, mono, UTI, abscesses, bites, necrotising infection, STIs and post-exposure prophylaxis sit beside ten dermatology lessons, eye emergencies, dental and ear pain, and a neuro block covering stroke, seizures and cord pathology.
Urgent Care Bootcamp procedure library
Around a hundred lessons are hands-on: anatomical, dental and ultrasound-guided nerve blocks, eight epistaxis techniques, slit-lamp and tonometry exams, nail and abscess procedures, thirteen suturing methods, ring removal, and fourteen named splints.
Imaging, ECGs, paediatrics and occupational care
Fifteen regional X-ray lessons, two chest film parts and twelve ECG sessions (including four syncope cases) accompany POCUS protocols, fifteen paediatric topics, trauma by body region and occupational medicine such as TB testing and body-fluid exposures.
