Houston Methodist Transplanting Hope 2026 — liver transplantation and alcohol use disorder, from selection to relapse prevention
Recorded on 20 March 2026, Houston Methodist Transplanting Hope: The Intersection of Liver Transplantation and Alcohol Use Disorder 2026 confronts the questions transplant committees argue over: who with alcohol-related liver disease should be listed, whether the six-month abstinence rule still makes sense, and how to stop relapse once the new liver is in. Hepatology, addiction medicine and transplant faculty share the stage, and the programme also reaches heart failure, kidney transplant and team leadership.
