Bryan Mendelson operates: composite face lift, tarsal fixation blepharoplasty and hydroxyapatite skeletal augmentation across four full cases
In Innovative Facial Rejuvenation Techniques, facial anatomist and aesthetic surgeon Dr. Bryan Mendelson takes four patients from preoperative analysis and local infiltration through to closure, explaining the anatomy behind each move. The library runs 12 h 15 min in 26 video segments, including separate technique collections on hydroxyapatite facial augmentation and Lipogems lipoinfiltration.

What you’ll be able to do
- Follow the steps of Mendelson’s limited dissection composite face lift, including posterior platysma suspension
- Understand the logic of tarsal fixation upper blepharoplasty and when to add brow or outer brow bone work
- Place hydroxyapatite and coral granules subperiosteally on the orbital rim, maxilla, zygoma and mandible
- Harvest, purify and inject fat with the Lipogems system for brows, lips, jawline and chin
- Plan secondary rejuvenation, such as drill hole canthopexy for lower lid malposition after earlier surgery
- Choose between a coronal brow lift with corrugator resection and a superficial temporal lift
Inside the course
Cases 1 and 2: eyelids and brows
The first patient has upper lid rejuvenation by tarsal fixation, fat infiltration and augmentation of the outer brow bone. The second adds a coronal brow lift with corrugator resection and fascia graft, mid-cheek skeletal augmentation and perioral refreshment.
Cases 3 and 4: the whole face
Case three combines the composite face lift with upper blepharoplasty, bone augmentation to the maxilla and mandible and fat to the chin and perioral area. Case four pairs the face lift with a superficial temporal lift, a canthopexy for secondary lid malposition and augmentation of midface and prejowl.
Anatomy on screen throughout
Segments dwell on the prezygomatic and premasseteric spaces, retaining ligaments, the buccal fat pad and parotid duct, and the nerves and vessels that shape each dissection plane. Closure behind the ear and a suture removal schedule are covered too.
Technique collections
Separate clips isolate granule placement and fat processing so you can review them without scrolling through the full operations, and short outcome segments show how two patients looked afterwards.
Built for
- Facial plastic and aesthetic surgeonsA chance to watch one of the best-known facial anatomists apply his research in theatre.
- Oculoplastic surgeonsTarsal fixation, brow and canthopexy work within broader facial rejuvenation.
- Surgeons curious about skeletal augmentationDetailed hydroxyapatite technique rarely shown this thoroughly on video.

Before you buy
Are the videos grouped by case?
No. The 26 segments carry descriptive titles rather than case numbers, so it takes some attention to see which clips belong to which of the four patients.
Is this a lecture course on facial anatomy?
It is operative footage with running anatomical commentary, not a structured anatomy lecture series.
Are the granule and fat systems easy to get?
The techniques rely on specific materials, including hydroxyapatite granules and the Lipogems device, whose availability and approval vary by country.
Can I start doing these procedures after watching?
No. The library shows an expert’s approach; it does not replace supervised training in facial surgery.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
