Japanese, European and South American composite philosophies side by side — adhesion, biomimetics and layering in 9 lessons
Six restorative teachers from Tokyo, Szeged, Santiago, Turin and São Paulo each bring their own protocol to International schools working with composite restorations. Across 9 lessons and 11 h 29 min you move from adhesive chemistry and resin coating (Junji Tagami, Meiken Hayashi) to biomimetic posterior work and deep margin elevation (Andras Foster, Jorge O’Brien), anterior stratification (Alessandro Pezzana) and the hyperchromatic technique (Maciel Júnior).

What you’ll be able to do
- Pick and apply etch-and-rinse, self-etch or universal adhesives for maximum bond performance
- Manage deep caries with selective removal, resin coating and flowable lining
- Rebuild weakened molars with Biobases, IDS, Ribbond and short-fibre composite
- Perform deep margin elevation with the right band and matrix adaptation
- Layer Class III, Class IV and direct veneers with convincing texture and emergence profile
- Use the hyperchromatic layering technique for posterior and anterior teeth
Inside the course
The Japanese adhesive school
Three lessons trace how bonding evolved, explain the hybrid layer and the role of functional monomers, and show preparation without post-operative sensitivity. They also cover direct composite crowns and bridges, repair of existing restorations, the effect of air-polishing powders on dentin bonding, rubber dam evidence, and incremental versus bulk-fill filling.
Biomimetic posterior dentistry
Peripheral seal and central stop zones, Alleman’s hierarchy of bondability and decoupling with time, crack removal endpoints and the Bioblock approach for endodontically treated teeth are explained. Stress-reduced direct composites, wallpapering, sequenced bands and the double-ring technique complete the posterior section.
Anterior aesthetics and colour
The Italian lesson links Bolton analysis, wax-up transfer, chroma and value, cervical lesions, diastema and black-space closure, contacts and polishing. Two hyperchromatic sessions then address the occlusal compass, occlusal veneers, peg laterals, discoloured teeth and restoration maintenance.

Before you buy
Is this one continuous system or several approaches?
Each lesson reflects its lecturer’s school, so methods sometimes differ; the value lies in comparing them rather than following a single protocol.
How much is posterior versus anterior work?
Roughly two-thirds of the running time concerns adhesion and posterior teeth; the final three lessons focus on anterior and colour work.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
