Preservation and hybrid rhinoplasty in five filmed noses, plus 20 short technique clips from the Perface Academy
Perface Academy HARM 2.0 2023 pairs Dr. Fernando Nakamura’s operative teaching with a set of short educational technique videos by Dr. Juan Tommasino. Across seven modules and 7 h 33 min you move from a welcome session on the academy’s mentoring approach to 20 named preservation manoeuvres and then five complete primary cases, open and closed, each divided into short step-by-step chapters.

What you’ll be able to do
- Tell apart the main dorsal preservation variants: Ishida high and middle strips, Saban, push-down, SPQR, Spare Roof and the Kovacevic subdorsal flaps
- Plan a hybrid rhinoplasty that keeps the dorsum while structuring the tip
- Follow the sequence of an open dorsal preservation case with Puzzle Tip, from analysis to footplate suture
- See how closed-approach SPQR can be done without dissecting the tip
- Refine the result with base reduction, diced cartilage at the radix and PRF
Inside the course
The academy and its method
Nakamura opens with a 57-minute talk describing a mentoring format for surgeons already doing rhinoplasty: live lectures, case sharing, recorded surgery and an online community aimed at hybrid technique.
Twenty preservation manoeuvres in 40 minutes
Tommasino’s clips each isolate one idea — the Ballerina manoeuvre, Pisa Tower concept, Vitruvian Man strip, Teo suture fixation of the cartilaginous roof, bone cap preservation, the Osmen sliding alar flap and more — so you can revisit a single step quickly.
Five primary cases, chapter by chapter
Two open cases with dorsal preservation (one with Puzzle Tip, one with structured tip and base reduction), an open hybrid case with caudal septal repositioning and graft preparation, a closed SPQR case and a closed Spare Roof case with Puzzle Tip plasty. Each starts with analysis and ends with final suture or result review.

Before you buy
Why does the curriculum show 69 lessons when the course has 72?
Module 1, the 57-minute welcome by Dr. Nakamura, is described but its files are not itemised, which accounts for the difference.
Is everything narrated in English?
Mostly. Two chapters of the first surgery carry Spanish titles (incision and dissection, and dorsum and septum work with osteotomies), so expect some Spanish in that case.
Does it replace the Perface mentoring programme?
No. The welcome talk describes live lectures and community access, but what you receive is the recorded video only. The larger Perface Academy 2024 HRAM series and the Portuguese Rhino A-Z course in this catalogue come from the same academy.
Can I adopt these preservation techniques straight from the videos?
They show one team’s approach on selected primary noses and are not a substitute for supervised rhinoplasty training.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
