CaHA and hyaluronic acid used together — 53 region-by-region filler demonstrations from seven expert injectors
UMA Academy Advanced Filler Techniques Combining CaHA, HA and Hybrid Fillers is an advanced injector course of about 7 h 30 min in seven modules. Jani van Loghem and Philippe Snozzi open with filler theory and complication management, then Shino Bay Aguilera, Cleo Edwards, Dalvi Humzah, Jonathan Kadouch and Job Thuis demonstrate calcium hydroxylapatite, hyaluronic acid and hybrid approaches on chin, jawline, lips, cheeks, tear trough, nose, earlobes and forehead, with cannula and needle options side by side.

What you’ll be able to do
- Explain how HA rheology and the biostimulatory action of CaHA shape product choice and depth
- Combine Radiesse-type and Belotero-type products in one treatment plan
- Contour the jawline, mandibular angle and pre-jowl sulcus in female and male faces
- Use ligament-lift points such as ZCL, ZRL and GRP to support the midface
- Treat tear troughs and the palpebromalar groove with a lateral cannula entry
- Prevent and manage vascular and other filler complications
Inside the course
Theory and complications first
The opening module, just under an hour and a half, compares the two product families, discusses safe technique in high-risk zones and borrows ideas from make-up artistry to explain where light and shadow should fall. A downloadable PDF on preventing and managing soft tissue filler complications accompanies it.
Lower third in depth
Four chin videos cover midline and lateral cannula entries, male chin work and mentum augmentation. The jawline module is the second largest, with twelve clips on marionette lines, infraoral CaHA and HA ligament lifting, masseter and angle definition by cannula and by needle, and the pre-jowl sulcus. Six lip videos add needle technique, radial lines, vermilion border and commissures, plus a Profhilo cannula lip.
Midface and upper face
Sixteen cheek demonstrations form the core, including male cheeks, the preauricular area, an ultrasound-guided hyper-concentrated CaHA case and several ligament-lift variations. Kadouch then covers seven tear trough and palpebromalar videos, and Thuis closes with nasolabial folds, three nose techniques, earlobes and brow hooding with forehead lines.

Before you buy
Can a newcomer to fillers start here?
It is pitched at injectors who already know facial anatomy and basic filler technique; beginners will find little introductory material.
How long is each demonstration?
Most region videos are short, a few minutes each, so the course works best as a library you revisit by area rather than one continuous lecture.
Does it overlap with other filler products here?
The catalogue also carries a separate dermal filler complications course; this one touches on complications in its first module but concentrates on combination technique.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
