Clear aligner therapy from biomechanics to deep bites, impacted canines and TAD-assisted distalization
Fifteen aligner specialists — among them Benedict Wilmes, Francesco Garino, Tommaso Castroflorio, Jay Bowman, Vincenzo D’Antò and Waddah Sabouni — share the teaching in A one year program on aligner therapy. Its 19 lectures, close to 33 hours in total, progress through four stages: biomechanics and planning, early treatment in growing patients, combining aligners with auxiliary appliances, and complex adult cases.

What you’ll be able to do
- Predict which movements aligners handle well by applying aligner biomechanics and known limits
- Write and revise ClinCheck plans that hold up clinically, including G5 and G8 protocols
- Time and run early treatment with Invisalign First and Teen using cervical vertebral maturation
- Correct Class II in children and adults with elastics, Motion 3D, distalization or camouflage
- Combine aligners with mini-implants, MARPE, Beneslider and Mesialslider for difficult cases
- Plan impacted canine and deep bite treatment, including surgical preparation
Inside the course
Mechanics and digital planning
The opening lectures look at how reliably aligners move teeth, intermittent versus continuous forces, arch deformation and failure patterns, then link occlusion, posture and vertical control to aligner design. A practical ClinCheck session covers elastics, power ridges, mandible unlocking, TMJ patients and communication with the prosthodontist.
Growing patients
Several instructors address children and teenagers from different angles: timing by bone age, expansion with aligners, mandibular advancement, eruption compensation, IPR in children, Class III interception and digital monitoring with iTero. Case series cover crossbite, crowding, deep bite and forced mandibular position.
Hybrid mechanics and complex adults
Later lectures pair aligners with Motion 3D, Horseshoe jet, BMX expanders, MARPE and palatal mini-implants for intrusion, distalization and space closure. The final block tackles impacted canines, adult Class II camouflage, CBCT-guided planning, TMJ dysfunction, and surgical versus non-surgical deep bite correction, ending with orthodontic preparation for orthognathic surgery.

Before you buy
Will the teaching transfer if I use a different aligner system?
Much of the content uses Invisalign and ClinCheck terminology, though the biomechanics, anchorage and case-selection principles apply to other systems too.
Is it really a year long?
The name refers to the programme’s scope; in practice it is 19 recorded lectures that you work through at your own pace.
Are two lectures only for orthodontists?
Yes. The sessions on aligners with mini-implants and on distalization with palatal TADs are pitched at orthodontists; the others suit general dentists as well.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
