Full-arch exocad beyond the basics: AOX hybrids, FP1 bridges, photogrammetry files and pre-surgical design
Prosthodontist Nate Farley and lab manager Brandon Howell recorded Advanced EXOCAD for all things AOX (EXOCAD AOX) for designers who already know the software and have built a few arches. Sixteen lessons, about 10 h 50 min, run from a routine hybrid design to difficult ones, FP1 crown-and-bridge conversions, copy designs, photogrammetry and multi-unit abutment screw workflows, designing before surgery, immediate prostheses and final designs from several scanning systems.

What you’ll be able to do
- Set up libraries and design concepts for full-arch work in exocad
- Complete a standard and a complex AOX design from start to export
- Convert a hybrid approach into an FP1 crown-and-bridge design
- Handle photogrammetry data at surgery and for the definitive prosthesis
- Prepare most of the prosthesis before surgery and finish it quickly afterwards
- Build final designs from OptiSplint, MicronMapper, TupelGrammee and iMetric data
Inside the course
Core full-arch design
After an introduction to concepts and libraries, a two-hour session builds a standard AOX arch, followed by an hour on a more demanding case.
FP1 and copy techniques
A short clinical explanation of how FP1 prostheses differ leads into an hour of FP1 design and a lesson on copying an approved design into the definitive restoration.
Surgery-day and final workflows
The instructors show how to predesign ahead of the appointment, deliver immediate prostheses using OptiSplint or MicronMapper, and complete finals from TupelGrammee and iMetric files, including a nearly one-hour XML method.
The instructors
Farley trained in dentistry and prosthodontics at Ohio State, co-founded Infodontics and has used five implant planning programmes. Howell runs design and fabrication in his practice’s in-house lab.
Built for
- In-house lab designersMoving from single-unit work into full-arch implant cases.
- Prosthodontists running AOX programmesKeeping more of the design process under their own control.
- Dental techniciansA tour of the photogrammetry systems now arriving in labs.

Before you buy
Is it suitable for someone who has never opened exocad?
No. The instructors expect prior exocad experience, ideally including some full-arch designs.
Is the Blender bar-and-sleeve lesson complete?
It is listed at only 10 seconds, so the Blender conversion promised in the objectives appears to be missing or only a placeholder.
Is all of the running time teaching?
The final 1 h 25 min lesson is about the presenters and their services, so the design teaching itself is closer to nine and a half hours.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
