The Vertical concept for veneers — preparation, materials and occlusion with Hajtó and Scutella in 7 lessons
Restorative dentists Jan Hajtó and Fabio Scutella teach Aesthetic Dentistry Online Congress, a 4 h 50 min course of seven lessons on ceramic veneers. It builds the vertical preparation concept from geometry and soft-tissue management through material choice, then covers non-prep and invasive veneers, occlusal and TMJ screening, and both analog and digital fabrication.

What you’ll be able to do
- Apply the vertical preparation concept and place finish lines well
- Match feldspar, lithium disilicate and zirconia to the indication
- Choose between non-prep, minimally invasive and invasive veneers
- Screen occlusion and the TMJ before aesthetic restoration
- Set an occlusal scheme that protects anterior all-ceramics
- Follow analog and digital veneer fabrication protocols
Inside the course
The vertical concept
The first two lessons lay out the advantages of vertical preparation, its relationship to periodontal support, the common problems it raises, and material and provisional protocols for a clean, healthy margin.
Veneer types and materials
Separate lessons weigh non-prep and minimally invasive veneers against partial-additive and invasive designs, covering adhesion strength, ceramic properties, the cut-back technique and 360° preparations.
Function and fabrication
Later lessons screen occlusion and TMD using the Ahlers/Jakstat approach, define the occlusal parameters that govern longevity, and compare analog and digital veneer manufacturing including digital smile design.
Who is teaching
Hajtó authored the “Anteriores” bestseller and built anterior tooth libraries for Exocad; Scutella belongs to the Italian, American and European prosthodontic academies.
Built for
- Restorative dentists and prosthodontistsA rigorous approach to veneer preparation and longevity.
- Dental techniciansMaterial selection and analog-to-digital fabrication detail.
- General dentistsClear indications for when and how to prepare for veneers.

Before you buy
Does it cover both analog and digital work?
Yes. The final lesson runs through analog fabrication with mock-ups and silicone keys as well as a digital protocol with intraoral scanning.
Is occlusion really part of a veneer course?
Two lessons address occlusion and TMJ screening, since functional factors strongly affect the longevity of ceramic veneers.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
