Damon passive self-ligation for Class II, Class III, open bite, crossbite and impactions — six clinicians, eight lectures
Six Damon users — Bill Dischinger and Alfredo Rizzo, Trevor Nichols, Amr Asker, Nasib Balut, plus a St. Petersburg lecturer credited as Dmitry I — each present their protocols in Damon 2.0 How To Treat all Common Malocclusions. The eight lectures (13 h 39 min) cover extraction and non-extraction mechanics, adult treatment, Class III camouflage and surgery-first, impacted canine and incisor traction, gummy smile and Class II correction with elastics or Herbst.

What you’ll be able to do
- Decide when to extract or not within a Damon treatment plan
- Correct Class III without surgery using Dynaflex springs and bone plates
- Expose and bring down impacted canines and incisors with double-wire and ballista mechanics
- Treat open bite, deep bite and crossbite with arch remodeling and reverse arches
- Choose between elastics, extractions and Herbst for distal occlusion
- Prepare patients for orthognathic surgery, including surgery-first cases
Inside the course
Difficult cases and adults
Dischinger shows bimaxillary protrusion, lower incisor extraction, microimplants and airway-oriented cases. Nichols follows with two lectures on adult treatment: smile keys, laser soft-tissue contouring, AdvanSync Herbst, interproximal reduction and non-surgical Class III with bone plates.
Vertical and transverse problems
Rizzo explains Damon biomechanics for crossbite and deep bite, a step-by-step D-gainer protocol and options for gummy smile correction.
Impactions and Class III
Asker details open and closed eruption, apical repositioned flaps and three traction methods, with protocols for bilateral canines and incisors blocked by supernumeraries. Balut covers early Class III treatment, adult camouflage, torque selection and the surgery-first route, then a lecture on extraction decisions, cortical bone limits and distalisation.
Distal occlusion
The last lecture weighs Class II elastics, extraction, growth modification with the Herbst appliance and joint planning with a surgeon.

Before you buy
How long is the final lecture on distal occlusion?
Its running time is not listed; the other seven lessons account for about 12 hours, which suggests it runs around an hour and a half.
Is it system-specific?
Yes. Most protocols assume Damon passive self-ligating brackets and wires, though diagnosis and extraction logic apply more broadly.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
