Occlusion for restorative and implant work — 28 lectures on vertical dimension, digital contact timing and transitional bonding
Fifteen clinicians, among them Carlo Poggio, Robert Kerstein, Dean Vafiadis, Corky Willhite, Joe Massad and Jeff Brucia, contribute to DentalXP All about Occlusion. Its seven modules and 28 lessons, totalling 17 h 43 min, run from core occlusal concepts to posterior implant biomechanics, esthetic rehabilitation at a changed vertical dimension, computerised occlusal analysis, TMD and parafunction, and a five-part transitional bonding case.

What you’ll be able to do
- Reconcile esthetic goals with functional occlusion when planning anterior restorations
- Control loading on posterior implant restorations through occlusal scheme and design
- Decide how and when to change the vertical dimension of occlusion
- Use computer-guided occlusal analysis to time and balance contacts
- Adapt posterior occlusion to different jaw relationships and parafunctional patients
- Stage large esthetic and occlusal changes with transitional bonding
Inside the course
Concepts first, then implants
Module 1 contrasts biofunctional dynamic occlusion with attempts to simplify the subject for daily practice. Module 2 turns to implants, looking at biomechanics of posterior restorations and at why an osseointegrated fixture tolerates load differently from a tooth.
Esthetics, orthotics and the articulator
The longest module brings nine lectures on vertical dimension in esthetic cases, the esthetic occlusal orthotic, long-term stability of cosmetic rehabilitations and the use of the articulator for anterior work.
Measuring occlusion digitally
Three lessons on computer-guided occlusal analysis show how force and timing data refine function; further talks link digital restorative technology with implants and explain how to get contact timing right.
TMD, jaw relationships and a bonding case
Short modules address occlusion for Class II and III relationships, parafunction around teeth and implants, and simplified clinical techniques for restoring anterior teeth. A five-part series closes the course with transitional bonding used to make major esthetic and occlusal changes in one step.
Built for
- Restorative and cosmetic dentistsSeveral perspectives on building anterior esthetics that also function.
- Prosthodontists and implant restorersLoading, vertical dimension and full-mouth planning in one place.
- Clinicians exploring digital occlusal analysisA practical view of what force-and-timing data adds to articulating paper.

Before you buy
Is this one continuous course by a single teacher?
No — it is a curated collection of recorded lectures from different speakers, grouped by theme, so approaches and presentation styles differ between lessons.
Do I need a digital occlusal analysis system?
No; only Module 4 centres on computerised analysis, and the remaining modules work with conventional records and articulators.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
