Everyday endodontics from access to obturation — plus diagnosis, anesthesia, CBCT and legal risk from four clinicians
Four teachers share Endodontics Made Practical: Diagnose, Treat, Succeed: restorative dentist Jim McKee, and endodontists Lou Berman, Matthew Chesler and David Landwehr. Its 43 short lessons, grouped into six modules and totalling 6 h 44 min, cover the full root canal workflow with a clinical demo, then pulpal and periapical diagnosis, lesions that mimic endodontic disease, local anesthesia and pain control, medico-legal problems and CBCT reading.

What you’ll be able to do
- Prepare access, establish a glide path and working length, and shape canals safely
- Irrigate, obturate and restore the endodontically treated tooth
- Classify pulpal and periapical disease and pick the right diagnostic tests
- Recognise when a radiolucency or radiopacity is not of endodontic origin, including MRONJ
- Improve anesthesia success and manage post-operative pain and antibiotic use
- Use CBCT to detect fractures, perforations, resorption and sinusitis of dental origin
Inside the course
Clinical workflow, step by step
The largest module, almost three hours, runs from access cavity and perforation management through instrumentation, infection prevention, irrigation and two obturation lessons, ending with a full root canal demonstration.
Diagnosis, basic and advanced
Standard classifications, sinus tracts, radiography and endo-perio lesions come first. A second module then looks at the limits of pulp testing and radiology and trains a systematic differential for multilocular, radiopaque, multifocal and ill-defined lesions.
Anesthesia, law and 3D imaging
Short modules deal with anxious patients, how anesthetics act and the armamentarium, then define legal terms around adverse outcomes, and finally show what cone beam imaging reveals that periapicals miss.
The teaching team
Berman has 35 years as an endodontist and teaches at the University of Maryland; Chesler trained at the Naval Postgraduate Dental School; Landwehr also holds a degree in oral pathology; McKee has practised restorative dentistry since 1984.

Before you buy
Forty-three lessons in under seven hours — how long is each one?
Most run around ten minutes, so the course works well as short, topic-specific refreshers.
Is a live treatment shown, or only slides?
Module 1 includes a root canal treatment clinical demo alongside the lecture lessons.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
