Inside the course
The appliance and its logic
Early lessons describe night wear without anchorage, therapeutic force levels, individual adaptation limits, communication with young patients and the role of records, then take the device apart component by component.
Building and adjusting
Model work, assembly sequence, arch and spring fitting mistakes, interdental springs, the Equiplan and the “law of the ellipse” are shown, along with decision cards for design and arch analysis.
Diagnosis with the teleroentgenogram
A full lesson is given to Bimler cephalometrics: skeletal landmarks, the suborbital facial index, curve of Spee, stress axis, soft tissue forecasting and signs of likely relapse.
Clinical scenarios
Case lessons cover open and deep bite, first molar extraction, impacted canines, mouth breathing, the Tandem appliance for anterior crossbite, early treatment timing, palatal defects and adult patients with TMJ problems or periodontal risk.
