Harvard Vascular Ultrasound and RPVI Prep 2026 — perform, interpret and pass
The Harvard Vascular Ultrasound and RPVI Prep Course 2026 (Clinical Approach to Vascular Ultrasound) was held on 5–6 June 2026 and comes as videos with subtitle files and PDFs. Built with the medical and technical directors of the vascular labs at Massachusetts General and Brigham and Women’s, plus faculty from Stanford, Colorado and Johns Hopkins, it teaches you to perform and read arterial, venous, cerebrovascular and abdominal studies, prepares you for the Registered Physician in Vascular Interpretation exam, and shows how to build a vascular lab.

What you’ll be able to do
- Interpret arterial and venous studies in the limbs, neck and abdomen
- Grade stenosis with velocity criteria in native vessels, bypass grafts, stents and dialysis access
- Apply the ultrasound physics behind vascular diagnostics
- Revise the high-yield pathologies most often tested on the RPVI
- Set up and run a vascular laboratory at your own institution
Inside the course
Physics, the machine and arterial studies
Vascular imaging physics, understanding the ultrasound machine, upper and lower peripheral arterial studies, abdominal ultrasound and renal and mesenteric disease.
Harvard Vascular Ultrasound and RPVI Prep Course 2026 cerebrovascular block
Carotid duplex, subclavian and vertebral imaging, transcranial Doppler, and a dedicated session on high-yield RPVI pathologies.
Surveillance and venous disease
Bypass graft, aortic stent graft and dialysis access surveillance, tibio-pedal access, venous insufficiency and office procedures, venous thrombosis and pelvic congestion, and wound healing.
Cases and new techniques
Carotid, peripheral and venous case presentations, deep venous arterialisation and its surveillance, pedal acceleration time, and DEEPER trial data.
