Mayo Clinic Cardiac Rhythm Device Summit 2025 — implant, program and troubleshoot
The Mayo Clinic Cardiac Rhythm Device Summit 2025 ran from 19 to 21 June 2025 and focuses on the day-to-day reality of pacemakers, ICDs, CRT and conduction-system pacing: who should get which device, how to program it, how to spot malfunction on the ECG and chest X-ray, and how to manage infection and extraction. This package holds 4 MP4 videos and 45 PDF files — about 15.9 GB — from a 40-session programme taught by 22 Mayo Clinic faculty and device-clinic staff.

What you’ll be able to do
- Apply current indications for pacemakers, transvenous, subcutaneous and EV ICDs, and CRT
- Decide between single- and dual-chamber leadless pacing and conduction-system pacing
- Troubleshoot suspected malfunction from ECGs, impedance and radiographs
- Manage CIED patients undergoing MRI, radiation or surgery
- Diagnose device infection early and plan lead extraction
- Run an effective remote-monitoring service
Inside the course
Day one: pacemakers, ICDs and device innovation
Conduction-system anatomy with Samuel Asirvatham, leadless pacemakers with Yong Mei Cha, ICD selection and programming, inherited arrhythmias, chest X-rays of devices, AI in device management, syncope, CIED monitoring and disparities in device care — each block followed by rapid-fire cases.
Mayo Clinic Cardiac Rhythm Device Summit 2025: pacing and leads
Day two asks whether CRT is obsolete and whether conduction-system pacing is overhyped, covers non-responders and device issues in amyloid, sarcoid and end-stage heart failure, then turns to lead design, lead imaging, CIED infection and extraction technique.
Day three: the device clinic
Nurse-led troubleshooting cases open the day, followed by leadless and ICD programming, cryptogenic stroke, in-hospital management of devices, atrial high-rate episodes and where device therapy is heading.
