DentistryOnline courseSurgery
A complete implant dentistry curriculum in nine sessions — 124 hours from osseointegration to zygomatic implants and bone blocks
Built as a structured online residency, Implant Fellowship Program gathers more than 35 educators — Henry and Maurice Salama, David Garber, Dennis Tarnow, Stephen Chu, Howard Gluckman, Joseph Choukroun, Craig Misch, Paulo Malo and many others — into one sequenced programme. Nine sessions, 50 modules and roughly 124 hours of lectures take you from implant biology and CBCT planning through extraction-site management, soft tissue grafting and the sinus to full-arch rehabilitation, growth factors and vertical augmentation.

What you’ll be able to do
- Plan implant cases around medical risk, CBCT findings and restorative goals
- Decide between immediate, delayed and partial extraction therapy at each extraction site
- Manage soft tissue augmentation, pontic sites and emergence profile in the esthetic zone
- Choose between crestal sinus lifts, short implants and grafting in the posterior maxilla
- Treat the edentulous arch with overdentures, All-on-4 and zygomatic implants
- Recognise and treat peri-implantitis and restorative failures, and set up maintenance
Inside the course
Foundations and planning
Sessions 1 and 2 cover osseointegration, implant macro- and microgeometry, and wound healing, then move into case selection with Dennis Tarnow, systemic conditions such as cardiovascular disease and diabetes, clinical photography, and five lectures on CBCT-based virtual planning and guided surgery.
Surgical and prosthetic core
Session 3 works through instruments and drilling protocols, flap design, suturing, prosthetic components, provisionals and impressions, and a six-lecture block on occlusion around implants. Session 4 turns to emergencies, the anatomy of infection spread, peri-implantitis therapy, esthetic failures and long-term maintenance.
The extraction site and soft tissue
The longest session, at over 23 hours, examines socket biology, preservation, immediate placement with provisionalisation, platform switching, orthodontic site development and the socket shield. Session 6 follows with soft tissue reconstruction, vestibuloplasty, combination grafting and pontic site design.
Advanced reconstruction
The final three sessions address sinus anatomy and augmentation, short versus grafted implants, immediate loading, zirconia full-arch frameworks, tilted implants and All-on-4, then PRF and growth factors, phlebotomy, titanium mesh and rhBMP-2, ridge splitting, screw-guided bone regeneration, the Khoury plate technique and prosthetic gingiva.
