International Myeloma Society Educational Workshop Belgrade 2026 — myeloma care from diagnosis to post-CAR-T relapse
The International Myeloma Society Educational Workshop in Belgrade, Serbia 2026 packs two days, 13–14 March 2026, of plasma cell disorder teaching into 27 sessions co-organised by the Serbian Myeloma Group and the Balkan Myeloma Study Group. Lectures on diagnostics, MRD, transplant decisions, sequencing, CAR T cells and bispecifics alternate with live panels in which the faculty argue through real management questions. Waldenström’s macroglobulinaemia, AL amyloidosis and supportive care get their own blocks.

What you’ll be able to do
- Order the right diagnostic work-up, imaging and MRD testing for suspected or treated myeloma
- Apply new risk models for smoldering and newly diagnosed disease
- Choose induction for transplant-eligible and ineligible patients
- Sequence therapy at first and second relapse
- Place CAR T cells and bispecific T-cell engagers in everyday practice
- Handle bone disease, renal failure, infection and vaccination, plus frailty-adjusted plans
Inside the workshop
Biology, diagnosis and risk
Two plenaries frame the disease from biology to future directions, then four talks on testing, imaging, MRD and risk stratification end with a panel on follow-up.
Treating early and relapsed disease
Blocks on smoldering and newly diagnosed myeloma, then relapsed and refractory disease, cover transplant eligibility, sequencing and agents beyond cellular therapy and bispecifics.
International Myeloma Society immunotherapy block
Dedicated sessions on CAR T cells and bispecific T-cell engagers are followed by a panel on how to integrate them safely into routine care.
Complications, other dysproteinaemias and hard cases
Supportive care, Waldenström’s and AL amyloidosis precede a closing set on relapse after T-cell redirection, extramedullary disease, plasma cell leukaemia and frailty.
Built for
- Haematologists and oncologistsA current, practical synthesis of myeloma management in one programme.
- Transplant and cellular therapy physiciansFocused discussion of eligibility, CAR T and bispecific use.
- Fellows and residentsA structured overview of plasma cell disorders from diagnosis onwards.
- HaematopathologistsContext for how MRD and risk results change treatment decisions.
