A full orthodontic congress on video: AI, custom appliances, airway, TMD and growth control from 28 speakers
Recorded under the banner “Creating a New Era in Orthodontics”, KAO 2022 – Korean Association of Orthodontists packs 38 sessions and almost 24 hours into one self-paced archive. Keynotes come from Nikhilesh Vaid, Young-Gon Kim, Alfred Griffin, Sunil Kapila and Theodore Eliades, followed by clinical lectures from Korea, Japan, China, Southeast Asia, India, Australia and the Americas and eight residents’ forum sessions of case reports and research.

What you’ll be able to do
- Judge manufacturer claims about integrated appliance systems against independent evidence
- Weigh the evidence on 3D-printed appliances and on surgically accelerated tooth movement
- Manage external apical root resorption discovered mid-treatment or at debond
- Screen for paediatric and adult sleep apnoea and coordinate with ENT colleagues
- Plan vertical, transverse and Class II/III corrections with long-term stability in mind
- See where artificial intelligence already helps with segmentation, setups and airway diagnosis
Inside the course
Keynotes on technology and evidence
Vaid audits appliance marketing with experimental data, Griffin presents a retrospective comparison of LightForce custom-printed brackets with stock brackets (fewer appointments and shorter treatment in his practice), Kapila shows interdisciplinary planning on CBCT-segmented 3D models, and Eliades examines how little is known about the ageing and biocompatibility of in-office printed appliances.
TMD, airway and the periodontally compromised adult
Talks cover open bite with hidden TMD, drug therapy for temporomandibular disorders, condylar resorption treated with orthognathic surgery, orthodontic care after bone loss, and three perspectives on obstructive sleep apnoea, including ENT collaboration and CFD-plus-machine-learning diagnosis.
Growth, dimensions and aesthetics
Speakers address when to start Class II orthopaedics, hyperdivergent Class II follow-up, bone-borne Class III protraction, transverse discrepancy treated with dental expansion and micro-implants, vertical control, gummy-smile correction and three-dimensional open bite management.
Digital workflows and the residents’ forum
In-house aligner fabrication, surgery-first with aligners, CBCT-guided custom appliances and AI-driven digital setups sit alongside eight sessions in which residents from ten countries present cases and research.

Before you buy
Is this a structured course or a conference recording?
It is the recorded programme of a congress, so each talk stands alone and the opening and closing ceremonies are included in the running time.
Are the residents’ sessions useful to an experienced clinician?
They are short case and research presentations by trainees; treat them as a snapshot of current academic work rather than masterclass teaching.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
