Keep crestal bone where it is: Tomas Linkevicius’s full surgical and prosthetic protocol in 13 lessons
Bone loss around implants is not inevitable, argues Tomas Linkevicius, and Zero Bone Loss Concepts – How to develop and maintain crestal bone stability is his complete case for that view. Fifteen hours of teaching combine soft tissue biology and implant design, placement depth and vertical tissue thickening, then cementation risk, Ti-base screw-retained work and the choice of subgingival and supragingival materials, finishing with surgical and prosthetic hands-on videos.
- 13lessons
- 15 hof video
- 4tissue-thickening methods
What you’ll be able to do
- Recognise when vertical soft tissue thickness below 3 mm threatens crestal bone
- Place implants supracrestally, crestally or subcrestally according to their design
- Thicken thin mucosa by subcrestal placement, ridge flattening, tent-pole or grafts
- Avoid residual cement with supragingival margins, custom abutments or screw retention
- Specify Ti-base gingival and retentive heights and handle sandblasting correctly
- Select and polish zirconia, lithium disilicate or porcelain for the transmucosal zone
Inside the course
Biology first, then surgery
The course opens by showing that no single factor protects the crest: tissue thickness, implant design and connection stability all interact. Placement depth follows, including which implants tolerate subcrestal positioning and the “one abutment, one time” stay-in multiunit idea.
Four ways to gain vertical tissue
Subcrestal placement, flattening a narrow ridge, the tent-pole approach and grafting with autogenous tissue or collagen matrix are compared, with limitations and follow-up of up to six years for grafted sites.
The prosthetic half of the protocol
Linkevicius shows how margin depth drives hidden cement and peri-implant disease, then builds everything on titanium bases — single, angulated, bridges and full arch. Materials lectures cover zirconia polishing, avoiding porcelain in the subgingival zone, and a zirconia framework fused with lithium disilicate.
Hands-on footage
A pig-jaw model demonstrates all four thickening methods from the Puisys and Linkevicius algorithm, including a deep mattress plus interrupted suture pattern, and a short prosthetic video shows bite registration material stabilising open-tray copings on deep implants. A final lesson applies the concepts to the matrix® system.

Before you buy
Is this mostly surgery or mostly restorative?
Roughly half each: five lessons deal with placement and soft tissue, five with restorations and materials, plus hands-on videos for both sides.
Are the hands-on sessions filmed on patients?
The surgical demonstrations use a pig model; the clinical cases appear within the lectures.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
