San Diego Heart Failure Winter Symposium 2026 — prevention to end-stage in eight sessions
The San Diego Heart Failure Winter Symposium 2026, the 26th annual meeting organised by Complete Conference Management, took place on 23–24 January 2026 at the Hilton La Jolla Torrey Pines. Across eight sessions and 34 talks it follows heart failure from the cardio-renal-metabolic patient at risk, through HFrEF, HFpEF, amyloid, HCM and gene therapy, to pre-shock, cardiogenic shock and transplant — with patient perspectives woven through the programme.

What you’ll be able to do
- Identify cardio-renal-metabolic patients at risk and protect them with SGLT2i, GLP-1 RAs and finerenone
- Manage symptomatic HFrEF and HFpEF with current drugs and congestion-monitoring devices
- Recognise and treat amyloid, HCM, sarcoid and other infiltrative disease
- Know who, what, when and why for genetic testing and gene therapy
- Spot pre-shock early and escalate through MCS and surgery
- Select patients for transplant and LVAD
Inside the course
Day one: risk, rare disease and gene therapy
The cardio-renal-metabolic syndrome with dyslipidemia and finerenone; percutaneous valve therapy and pulmonary arterial hypertension; amyloid, HCM and sarcoid; and a full session on rare diseases — from bench-to-bedside gene therapy to genetic counselling, cardiomyopathy and lysosomal storage disease.
San Diego Heart Failure Winter Symposium 2026 stage C and shock sessions
Day two covers symptomatic HFrEF and HFpEF, congestion-monitoring devices and what is new in 2026, then pre-shock warning signs, initial shock management, MCS in escalating shock and surgery for advanced shock.
Myocarditis, rhythm and advanced therapies
Myocarditis and chronic pericarditis, AF and thromboembolism, chemotherapy cardiomyopathy and sudden death risk, then candidacy for advanced therapies and outcomes with transplant and LVAD.
