SCMR CMR Board Exam Review Course 2026 — two days to the CBCMR exam
The SCMR CMR Board Exam Review Course 2026 is the Society for Cardiovascular Magnetic Resonance’s review, updated for the 2026 CBCMR exam content and held on 25–26 April 2026. This package contains the two full-day live recordings: 32 lectures from 31 speakers across six sessions — MR physics and safety, protocols and artifacts, ischemic disease, non-ischemic cardiomyopathies, valve and congenital disease, and vascular imaging — each followed by a faculty Q&A.
- 2full-day recordings
- 32lectures
- 31speakers
- 6sessions
What you’ll be able to do
- Explain MR physics, pulse sequences and fast imaging
- Scan patients with devices safely and manage the artifacts
- Choose and run cine, LGE, stress perfusion, flow and mapping protocols
- Diagnose ACS, myocarditis (Lake Louise), pericardial disease and masses
- Characterise HCM, sarcoid, ARVC, infiltrative disease, iron overload and non-compaction
- Assess valves, shunts, congenital lesions, the aorta and coronaries
Inside the course
Day one: physics, protocols and ischemic disease
Basic physics, pulse sequences, fast imaging, MRI safety and devices; then cine, LGE, stress perfusion, flow quantification, parametric mapping, image quality troubleshooting and artifacts; and finally ACS, myocarditis, pericardial disease, systemic disease and infection, and masses.
SCMR CMR Board Exam Review Course 2026 day two
Non-ischemic heart disease — HCM, sarcoid and ARVC, infiltrative and storage disease, DCM and non-compaction, iron overload, athlete’s heart — followed by valve disease, common and complex congenital disease and shunts.
Vascular and incidental findings
The aorta, pulmonary arteries and veins, coronary arteries, peripheral vascular disease and extracardiac findings close the course, with a faculty Q&A after every session.
