Guided implant surgery with a definitive prosthesis made before the operation — 23 filmed cases and lectures
Giampiero Ciabattoni and Alessandro Acocella, co-authors of the book “Digital Implantology”, teach Digital Rehabilitation over 23 lessons and nearly 22 hours. Almost every video follows a real patient: the arch is scanned and planned virtually, a guide is produced, and a prefabricated screw-retained bridge is fitted as soon as the implants are in — in fully and partially edentulous maxillae and mandibles, post-extraction sites and the aesthetic zone.

What you’ll be able to do
- Merge intraoral STL scans with CBCT DICOM data, simulating extractions and tissue trimming on the model
- Plan flapless, prosthetically driven implant positions and order a matching surgical template
- Manufacture the definitive fixed prosthesis before surgery and connect it on the day
- Handle post-extractive All-on-4 cases with tilted distal implants and angled abutments
- Use a double-template technique or planned crest reduction for knife-edge and failing-implant cases
Inside the course
Where same-day guided protocols came from
The opening lecture traces how computer-guided implantology has moved toward a flapless approach in which the planned prosthesis dictates every surgical step. A later lesson on new trends introduces separate pre- and post-extraction guides.
Full-arch cases, upper and lower
Several videos show six-implant maxillae, four axial or intraforaminal implants in the mandible, and an All-on-4 filmed during a live broadcast with commentary as the surgery unfolds. Face scanning and photogrammetry appear in one maxillary case to match the new teeth to the old denture’s occlusion.
Strategic teeth and difficult anatomy
Remaining teeth are often kept temporarily to stabilise the guide and removed at the end. You also see an overdenture converted to a fixed bridge, a mixed old-and-new implant case, an inverted jaw relationship corrected with a virtual wax-up, a titanium bar welded to temporary cylinders, and an atrophic maxilla with a thin anterior ridge.
Built for

Before you buy
Is it mostly theory or clinical footage?
Mostly clinical footage: after the introductory lecture, nearly every lesson documents a single patient from planning to delivery.
Which planning software appears?
DTX Studio and NobelClinician are named in the All-on-4 case, and a face-scan tool is used in another; other lessons focus on the protocol rather than a specific program.
Is it suitable for someone new to implants?
It is aimed at clinicians already working in digital implantology, so basic surgical skills are assumed.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
