Inside the course
Dentistry 101 and patient relationships
Four lessons map the industry, the team, practice economics and the specialties. A five-part series follows on modest adjustments in communication and care that make a measurable difference to how patients experience the practice.
The dark side of the profession
A single hour-long session is devoted to the less discussed realities — pressures, temptations and ethical grey zones — and how to handle them.
Practice philosophy and team roles
Health-centred care, co-discovery with the patient, predictable dentistry, an introduction to FGTP and the stomatognathic system, then three lessons on how each staff role supports the whole.
The presenters
Kwiecien is a former OHSU restorative professor and Pankey faculty member; Salcetti is a prosthodontist with 30 years of practice; Puri previously led education at Spear/CDOCS; McWethy brings a marketing and executive background.
