Filmed anterior implant and soft tissue surgeries: Khoury augmentation, palatal pedicle flaps, guided and zygomatic placement
Part two of a surgical video series, Library of Oral Surgery. Module 2: Soft Tissue Management and Implantation in the Aesthetic Zone gathers eight short procedure-led lessons, about 3.5 hours in all. Pier Carmine Passarelli (Gemelli Polyclinic, Rome), Federico Villarruel, Filippo Tomarelli and Juan Alberto Fernandez Ruiz narrate real operations, from ridge preservation and socket grafting to immediate and guided implants in the smile zone and full arches on zygomatic fixtures.

What you’ll be able to do
- Follow the Khoury technique for three-dimensional bone reconstruction, including soft tissue handling
- Raise a double rotated palatal pedicled flap and judge when it beats a free graft
- Classify post-extraction sites and preserve them with flapless grafting and cortical lamina
- Plan guided and immediate implants in the esthetic zone from CBCT
- See how zygomatic and conventional implants combine in an immediately loaded full arch
Inside the course
Soft tissue as the foundation
The first two lessons show how flap handling affects 3D augmentation and healing, then break the rotated palatal pedicle flap into its individual incisions and cuts, each followed by the filmed procedure.
Sockets, timing and guides
Three lessons compare approaches to the extraction socket: staged hard and soft tissue augmentation, flapless preservation with Gen-Os, cortico-cancellous or mixed bone, and guided or immediate placement with grafting around the fixture.
Full-arch cases
The longest session, over an hour, follows extraction of hopeless teeth through immediate conventional implants and zygomatic placement; a closing lesson covers soft tissue thickness, abutments, immediate loading and a digital provisional.

Before you buy
Do I need module 1 of the library first?
No, each lesson stands alone, but this is one part of a larger surgical library sold as separate modules.
How deep does each topic go?
Most lessons last 15–30 minutes, so they are concise case demonstrations rather than full theory courses.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
