Soft tissue surgery for general dentists — recession grafting, tunnelling and esthetic crown lengthening with Ziv Simon
Across nearly 18 hours and 55 lessons, Masters of Soft Tissue gives the general practitioner a working foundation in periodontal plastic surgery. Ziv Simon, creator of SurgicalMaster and inventor of the Z-pad suturing system, walks through tissue assessment, connective tissue grafts on single and multiple teeth, gummy smile correction and crown lengthening, keeping the equipment list modest.

What you’ll be able to do
- Read gingival tissue quality and let it guide surgical choices
- Harvest a connective tissue graft through a single incision
- Cover isolated recessions with flap design, pouch and sling sutures
- Treat multiple recessions across an arch with tunnelling
- Carry out esthetic crown lengthening and modify gummy smiles before veneers
Inside the course
Healthier tissue for longer-lasting work
The opening module, at five and a half hours, explains why thicker, keratinised tissue protects restorations and implants, how to assess it, the principles behind successful grafting and how to present soft tissue treatment to patients.
One tooth, then the whole arch
Module two covers flaps for one or two teeth, case selection, graft harvest and suturing, and introduces the pouch as a stepping stone. Module three compares autogenous tissue with Alloderm, shows tunnelling instruments, frenum handling and a complete full-arch case.
Setting the gingival frame for cosmetic dentistry
The final module shows how to level gum margins before veneers and smile makeovers: gingivectomy, full-thickness flap, osteotomy or osteoplasty and suturing, plus the instruments each step needs.
Built for

Are all 55 lesson titles listed below?
No. The curriculum shows the key topics of each module rather than every individual video, so the list is shorter than the full lesson count.
Do I need a periodontal residency to follow it?
It is pitched at general dentists and starts with tissue assessment before moving to grafting and crown lengthening.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
