Everyday occlusion made practical — 156 lessons from the basic occlusal exam to full-mouth rehabilitation at increased OVD
General dentists Jaz Gulati and Mahmoud Ibrahim built Occlusion: Basics & Beyond around the tools most surgeries already own: articulating paper, shimstock and a leaf gauge. Across five modules, 156 lessons and roughly 34 hours plus PDFs, they move from the language of occlusion and wear diagnosis to conformative dentistry, force management, the Dahl approach and seven complete rehabilitation cases.

What you’ll be able to do
- Tell function from parafunction and read tooth wear as edge-to-edge, pathway or crossover patterns
- Choose between a basic and a comprehensive occlusal exam and record findings on a form
- Find and record centric relation with a leaf gauge or anterior jig, then mount with or without a facebow
- Decide whether to conform or reorganise and manage load on the last tooth in the arch
- Use landing pad occlusion, canine risers and composite to protect restorations
- Plan and sequence a full-mouth rehabilitation through provisionals, including Dahl and adapted centric posture
Inside the course
Foundations without dogma
Module 1 explains muscles, joints, the CNS and lever mechanics in clinically useful terms, then covers the envelope of function, guidance and interferences, and the links between bruxism, occlusion and TMD.
Examination and records filmed in 4K
The largest module (50 lessons) uses loupe-mounted footage to show history taking, TMJ assessment, fremitus, reading paper marks, protrusive records, condylar guidance and the strengths of average-value, semi-adjustable and fully adjustable articulators.
Risk, conformity and protection
Risk planning covers ideal occlusal features, the five occlusal positions, OVD assessment, the CR–MIP shift and lengthening teeth. A whole module then shows how to conform properly with direct and indirect work, bridges and implants, plus lab communication.
Reorganising the bite
The final module moves to mutually protected occlusion, the MOSO framework, deprogramming, post-orthodontic occlusion, appliances, T-Scan experience and complete composite, ceramic, zirconia and ortho-restorative cases.

Before you buy
Are the starter kit and printed textbook included?
No. The original programme shipped a physical kit and a hardback book; this is the digital course with its videos and PDFs only.
Do I need special equipment?
No. The teaching relies on articulating paper, shimstock and a leaf gauge rather than expensive devices, although articulators and a facebow are discussed.
Why is the total longer than the modules added up?
The quoted 33 h 53 min includes supplementary material beyond the five video modules, which run a little over 30 hours.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
