Microimplants and miniplates in orthodontics — 17 lectures from 11 TAD specialists, from insertion sites to Class III camouflage
Online School “Microimplants in Orthodontics” gathers eleven orthodontists known for skeletal anchorage work, among them Kee-Joon Lee, Ali Darendeliler, Jae Hyun Park, Jay Bowman, John Lin, Jorge Faber, Hee-Moon Kyung and Johnny Liaw. Over 17 lessons and 26 h 35 min they cover biomechanics, screw selection and placement, bracket prescription alongside TADs, complications and relapse, and case protocols for Class II and III, open bite, crossbite, crowding, asymmetry and gummy smile.

What you’ll be able to do
- Pick microimplant material, diameter and length and choose a safe insertion site, including the infrazygomatic crest
- Plan distalization, intrusion and en-masse retraction with palatal, buccal and IZC anchorage
- Treat anterior open bite with TADs and weigh it against orthognathic surgery
- Camouflage adult Class III with microimplants and miniplates and handle the side effects
- Upright and protract molars with chairside MAPS, MAUS and MARS designs
- Correct a gummy smile by incisor intrusion and know when periodontal surgery is still needed
Inside the course
Foundations and strategy
A two-decade review of how anchorage thinking evolved from Angle, Begg and Tweed to skeletal devices, followed by a TSAD strategy block on the C-Tube, MCPP plates, the C-expander, bracket prescription with TADs and a non-surgical protocol for facial asymmetry.
Class II and Class III mechanics
Horseshoe Jet distalization compared with Distal Jet, Jones Jig and Pendulum; TPA modifications that use one screw site for all three Angle classes; sequential versus whole-arch retraction; and twenty years of lessons on lower-arch retraction with miniplates.
Vertical control
Several lectures deal with open bite and vertical excess: diagnostic algorithms, Herbst growth modification, aligners with mini-screws, relapse factors and retention, and a surgery-versus-TADs comparison supported by CBCT.
Saving teeth and closing spaces
Molar uprighting and protraction, impacted and ankylosed teeth, canine reshaping before space closure, bone augmentation during movement and when closing a gap beats placing an implant.

Before you buy
Do any lessons overlap?
Yes. Lesson 3 is a 48-minute introduction whose topic list repeats the opening of Lesson 4, so the unique content is closer to 16 sessions.
Is it one coherent programme?
It is a series of separate lectures by different speakers, so terminology, appliances and preferred screw systems vary from lesson to lesson.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
