Single anterior implants and failed esthetic implants — seven experts show competing approaches, then debate them
Recorded panel events make up Series on Advanced Implantology, in which Stefan Fickl, Goran Benic, Egon Euwe, Roberto Abundo, Markus Schlee, Carlo Monaco and Sascha Jovanovic each present their own route through two demanding situations: replacing one tooth in the esthetic zone, and deciding whether and how to remove a failing implant there. Ten lessons, about 8 h 20 min, mix lectures with clinical video, and Giovanni Zucchelli and Massimo Simion moderate the discussion.

What you’ll be able to do
- Compare several strategies for single-tooth implants in the esthetic zone
- Plan around post-extraction remodelling with hard and soft tissue reconstruction
- Weigh implant timing and soft tissue integration against the diagnostic findings
- Judge when a compromised anterior implant should be kept, treated or explanted
- Rebuild the site after fixture removal and plan the prosthetic follow-up
Inside the course
One gap, three philosophies
Fickl, Benic and Euwe each take the single missing anterior tooth from diagnosis to crown, focusing on surgical steps, augmentation choices and restorative details. A joint discussion follows, plus a filmed surgery by Roberto Abundo and a session on digital implant workflow.
When an esthetic implant has failed
Schlee, Monaco and Jovanovic tackle malpositioned fixtures and tissue breakdown: what drives the decision to remove, what can make saving an implant realistic, and how to manage the site once the fixture is out. The module ends with a panel debate.
The panel
Speakers come from Zurich and Lugano, Utrecht and Milan, Würzburg, Turin and Pennsylvania, Forchheim and Bologna; Jovanovic is widely known for his work on guided bone regeneration.

It sits within module 1 but covers digital workflow in implant dentistry more generally.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
