TMJ care across four disciplines — occlusal plane, posture, splints, joint surgery and sleep apnoea in seven long lectures
Four lecturers from surgery, gnathology, restorative dentistry and orthodontics — Larry Wolford, Piero Silvestrini Biavati, Jay Harris Levy and Claudia Casanova Arámbula — share TMJ Stabilization and Remodeling – Occlusal Plane, Posture, MRI and Splints. Over 13½ hours they connect physiologic full-mouth restoration, occlusal plane analysis, posture and condylar position with orthognathic surgery, TMJ pathology and airway obstruction.

What you’ll be able to do
- Use occlusal splints as a provisional prosthesis before full-mouth restoration
- Analyse the occlusal plane and spot condylar compression on CBCT
- Apply the advance, align, open, distract principles of gnathological treatment
- Decide when postural analysis belongs in a dental diagnosis
- Understand surgical options for condylar hyperplasia, resorption and total joint replacement
- Recognise upper airway obstruction and the orthognathic moves that enlarge the airway
Inside the course
Occlusion, posture and restoration
The opening lecture links static and dynamic occlusion with head position, muscle tone and breathing, and explains the orthodontist’s role in total rehabilitation. A later session on posturodontics covers the “mouth–eyes–feet” differential and when to look for scoliosis or strabismus.
The occlusal plane and the condyle
Growth patterns, lever classes, condyle position classification, isotonic bruxism, deprogramming and disc reduction are discussed, followed by four fundamentals for normalising mandibular position, restoring vertical dimension and using distraction.
Surgery for joint and airway
Surgical lectures address chin augmentation, subapical and sagittal split osteotomies, disc repositioning with Mitek anchors, adolescent condylar resorption, reactive arthritis on MRI, total TMJ prostheses and counter-clockwise rotation of the jaws for sleep apnoea.

Before you buy
Do the lecturers agree on one school of occlusion?
They come from different traditions — posturodontics, functional occlusion and surgery — so the course presents several viewpoints rather than one protocol.
Is each lecture labelled with its speaker?
No, lectures are listed by topic only.
How long is a single session?
Each of the seven runs between about 1½ and 2¼ hours, so plan for extended viewing blocks.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
