Save it, retreat it or move it: Paolo Generali on endodontic emergencies, irrigation, retreatment and autotransplantation
Four webinars of roughly 1.5 to 2 hours each make up Advanced Clinical Endodontics and Tooth Autotransplantation, 6 h 30 min in total. Paolo Generali, Style Italiano Endodontics gold member and visiting professor at Modena and Reggio Emilia, covers pain diagnosis and anaesthesia in pulpitis, efficient shaping and irrigation, the decision pathway for failed cases, and when a transplanted third molar beats an implant.

What you’ll be able to do
- Trace where pain originates, spot non-odontogenic pain and separate reversible from irreversible pulpitis
- Achieve anaesthesia in hot pulps within safe maximum doses and manage postoperative pain
- Build a quick, reliable irrigation protocol with activated sodium hypochlorite
- Decide whether a tooth is retreatable and retrieve separated instruments with ultrasonics
- Choose among endocrowns, onlays, overlays and crowns after endodontics
- Plan and perform tooth autotransplantation, decoronation and socket-shield techniques
Inside the course
Emergencies and pain control
The first webinar addresses diagnosis of dental and extra-dental pain, pulpitis anaesthesia including intravascular considerations, analgesic options, complications, immediate dentin sealing, indirect pulp capping after trauma and appropriate use of MTA.
Shaping and irrigation that count
Session two revisits the biological goals of treatment, canal anatomy patterns, step-down sequence, hand versus rotary and reciprocating files, apex locator use, canal merging, ProTaper Next, apical size and the strengths and limits of each irrigant.
When treatment fails
Retreatment decision-making covers extruded material, the “five-minute rule” for ultrasonics, CBCT for hidden infection, bisphosphonates, genetic factors, surgical options, fibre posts, access through existing crowns and timing of the final restoration.
Autotransplantation
The last webinar weighs vital pulp therapy against endodontics and implants, then details third molar transplantation — artificial sockets, open apices, cystic sites, long-term follow-up — alongside pontic-shield and dentin-shield concepts.

Is this a step-by-step autotransplantation course?
Autotransplantation takes one of the four webinars; the other three cover emergencies, irrigation and retreatment.
How many topics does each webinar try to cover?
Each lists fifteen or more topics in about ninety minutes, so expect a broad clinical overview rather than a deep dive into any one technique.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
