Lateral window sinus lifts with Tiziano Testori — case grading, S.A.D. antrostomy, complications and two recorded surgeries
Over 14 sessions and about 13 hours, Advanced Maxillary Sinus Procedures with Testori: An Intensive Masterclass follows Tiziano Testori, head of implant dentistry and oral rehabilitation at the Galeazzi Institute in Milan, through every stage of sinus augmentation. Diagnosis and ENT collaboration come first, then difficulty scoring, anaesthesia, flap design, piezo and rotary antrostomy, crestal access, complication management and the alternatives to grafting the sinus at all.
- 14sessions
- 13 hof video
- 2full surgeries
What you’ll be able to do
- Grade a case with the Sinus Elevation Difficulty Score and pick those suited to your experience
- Spot subclinical sinusitis and a diseased membrane and know when to involve an ENT surgeon
- Open a lateral window by piezosurgery or rotary instruments, including the S.A.D. and low-window designs
- Handle membrane perforations, cysts, septa and post-operative infection
- Indicate crestal access or skip grafting in favour of All-on-4, transsinus, zygomatic or M.I.F.A. options
Inside the course
Diagnosis before the flap
Testori weighs patient wishes, cost and operator experience against clinical findings, classifies the Schneiderian membrane as thick, medium or thin by colour and translucency, and shows how CBCT, facial screening and ENT input shape the plan. Difficult cases — minimal crestal bone, heavy smokers, dehiscences — get their own protocol with monthly follow-up.
Operative technique step by step
Live footage covers his five-point anaesthetic sequence and typical injection errors, flap planning, window creation by erosion or deflection with DASK instruments, resealing the bony lid with fibrin sealant, and collagen-based porcine dermal matrices. Shorter lectures introduce the Simplified Antrostomy Design and a single-incision low-window approach that reduces swelling and bruising.
When things go wrong — and when not to lift
A video-based session shows how perforations and anastomosis leaks look as they happen and how to repair them. Later lectures cover site preparation and suturing, crestal piezo elevation in carefully chosen sinuses, and graft-free alternatives.
Surgery replays
The programme ends with a bilateral lift for a six-implant overdenture in a patient who declined zygomatic implants, and a two-part complex case that combines the full protocol.
Built for
- Early-career implant surgeonsClear case-selection rules show which sinuses to take on first.
- Periodontists and experienced implantologistsAn update on flap design, antrostomy and evidence-based protocols.

Before you buy
Are the surgeries live or recorded?
They are replays of live operations, watched on demand; there is no real-time interaction with the surgeon.
Is the crestal approach covered in depth?
One 50-minute lecture deals with piezo crestal elevation; the main focus of the programme is the lateral window.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
