Adhesion protocols that hold up — five researchers on bonding, bulk fill, fibre posts and curing lights
Lorenzo Breschi, Alessandra Reis, Roland Frankenberger, Marcos Barceleiro and Alireza Sadr are adhesive-dentistry researchers who also teach clinically. In Clinical protocols for direct and indirect restoration they turn that research into step-by-step chairside routines across 10 lessons and 16 h 17 min. Topics run from adhesive classification and etching strategy to bulk-fill composites, fibre reinforcement, dental bonding myths, intracanal cementation and choosing a curing light.

What you’ll be able to do
- Choose between etch-and-rinse, self-etch, selective etch and universal adhesives on evidence
- Avoid the classic bonding errors behind debonding and post-operative sensitivity
- Reinforce cracked and weakened teeth with fibre-reinforced composite
- Cement fibre posts reliably, from canal preparation to luting material choice
- Select and use a light-curing unit that actually polymerises your restorations
Inside the course
Bonding fundamentals and golden rules
The hybrid layer, adhesive composition and the pros and cons of phosphoric acid lead to ten golden rules and a keep-it-simple method. Later lessons revisit penetration of adhesive into the substrate, degradation of the bonded layer, a hydrophobic coating step and bonding to caries-affected dentin.
Minimally invasive and structurally compromised teeth
Biomimetic philosophy, silver diamine, optical coherence tomography and bulk-fill composites are introduced. A separate session covers crack diagnosis, air abrasion, fibre positioning and lamination, and compares fibreglass pins with cast posts and endocrowns with fibre reinforcement.
Errors, myths and evidence
One lesson ranks the ten most frequent mistakes, from veneer indications to misunderstood MMPs and sclerotic dentin. Another applies the null hypothesis to popular beliefs about wet bonding, dentin roughening, bevels, ethanol bonding, rubber dam and IDS.
Posts and polymerisation
The closing sessions explain why posts fail, how to treat post surfaces and prepare the space, and how tip diameter, beam profile and mono- versus polywave output affect curing, ending with seven steps to successful polymerisation.

Before you buy
Do the two bulk-fill lessons repeat each other?
They share the same published topic list; the second is a fuller version of the short introductory session, so expect some overlap.
Is there a lot of theory before the clinical steps?
Yes, research findings are explained alongside each protocol so you understand why each step matters.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
