Autogenous ridge augmentation with Luca De Stavola — Khoury blocks, GBR and sinus lifts in 15 lessons
A Khoury-trained oral surgeon from the University of Padua, Luca De Stavola built Horizontal, Vertical & 3D Ridge Augmentation: Surgical Protocols and Reviews around autologous bone as the reference graft. Across 15 lessons and 13 hours 51 minutes, theory lectures alternate with fully commented surgeries that show the case work-up, every surgical step and a critical look at healing afterwards.

What you’ll be able to do
- Read a defect and choose between autologous and substitute grafts by resorption rate
- Harvest mandibular bone blocks safely, including with computer-guided planning
- Split, thin and fix blocks following Khoury principles to maximise regeneration
- Measure and achieve flap passivation for tension-free primary closure
- Combine crestal and sinus floor augmentation in the atrophic posterior maxilla
- Factor vascular supply and mechanical stability into every regenerative plan
Inside the course
Foundations: defect, graft and flap
Five lectures work through healing patterns of regenerated bone, harvesting from the mandible, handling of fresh blocks and the soft tissue side, where De Stavola demonstrates his own methods for gauging flap tension before closure.
Surgery videos with review
Six cases include a posterior mandibular dehiscence treated by GBR with a membrane, a single implant on an On1 base, three-dimensional grafting of the posterior maxilla with a sinus lift, a small vertical defect in a periodontal patient, severe upper-jaw atrophy and a two-stage vertical Khoury reconstruction with re-entry.
Biology and the sinus
Short reviews on vascularisation and mechanical stability precede a two-part block of almost four hours on sinus floor augmentation: anatomy, physiology and diagnosis first, then the surgical technique itself.
Built for
- Implant surgeonsConsultable, case-based protocols for simple to complex bone deficits.
- PeriodontistsAn interdisciplinary view linking soft tissue handling with hard tissue results.
- Oral surgeons trying block graftsA stepwise route into Khoury-style autogenous reconstruction.

Before you buy
How much of the running time is live surgery?
Lessons 6 to 11 are surgical cases, together roughly five and a half hours; the rest are lectures and reviews.
Does it rely only on autologous bone?
Autologous grafts are the focus, but mixed grafts, membranes and traditional GBR also appear, and one lesson explains when a non-autologous material makes sense.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
