TAD-assisted camouflage from eight orthodontists — Class II and III, open bite, gummy smile and MARPE in 16 hours
Eight lecturers from Brazil, Portugal, Spain, Korea, the USA and Taiwan share how they use skeletal anchorage in Microimplants 4.0. Its nine long lessons, about 16 h 15 min in total, cover non-surgical correction of protrusion, open and deep bite, crossbite, asymmetry and excessive gingival display, with protocols for IZC, buccal shelf, subapical and DSQ® screws, plus MARPE, BAME and DS expanders.

What you’ll be able to do
- Plan Class II and Class III camouflage and judge where dentoalveolar compensation ends
- Place and load IZC, buccal shelf and subapical microimplants for retraction and distalisation
- Control the vertical dimension when treating anterior open bite and gummy smile
- Use transverse CBCT analysis to select MARPE, BAME or a DS expander in adults
- Combine aligners with skeletal anchorage for intrusion and molar movement
- Anticipate and manage complications of TADs
Inside the course
Sagittal problems without surgery
Opening sessions deal with severe incisor protrusion — maximum retraction, combined intrusion-retraction systems and incisor torque control — then compare Class II camouflage with surgery, including periodontal risks and TMJ considerations. The Class III lesson introduces the Biocreative strategy, C-Tube placement, the C-Expander and corticotomy-assisted camouflage.
Vertical control and complex cases
Open bite etiology, biomechanics and retention get a dedicated session. Further lessons revisit the Tweed-Merrifield background, en-masse movement of the dentition, asymmetry correction, MEAW combined with TADs, and a comparison of miniscrews with miniplates and labial with lingual appliances.
Expansion in adults
A 2.5-hour lesson explains midpalatal suture classification, anatomical resistance, palatine artery and nasopalatine canal variations, and digital planning, then works through crossbite, open bite, Class II, Class III and impacted canine cases.
Simplified adult protocols
The DSQ® sessions show intra- and extra-alveolar screws for adult rehabilitation, asymmetry and TMJ patients, and pair them with aligner therapy for incisor intrusion and molar control.
Built for
- Orthodontists adding TADs to routine carePlacement sites, force systems and loading protocols explained case by case.
- Clinicians treating adults who decline surgeryCamouflage limits and alternatives are discussed openly.
- Aligner providersSeveral lessons show how skeletal anchorage extends what trays can achieve.
