Evidence-based composites and adhesion — material choice, indirect bonding and stress-reduced direct restorations
Three restorative specialists — Simone Deliperi of the Sardinia Dental Teaching Center, materials researcher Luis Felipe Schneider and endodontic-restorative clinician Giovanni Cavalli — teach Science-Driven Restorative Dentistry: Biomimetic Composites and Bonding. Its 12 lessons in three modules run for 10 h 15 min and move from composite science and layering to cementing ceramics and zirconia, ending with occlusion-guided stress-reduced direct composite (SRDC) restorations.

What you’ll be able to do
- Compare current composite systems and match each class to its clinical indication
- Keep polymerisation shrinkage stress low with planned layering and controlled curing
- Bond veneers, onlays, overlays, crowns and zirconia using chairside sequences
- Select cements and adhesive systems with a clear classification in mind
- Build MO, MOD and cusp-coverage SRDC restorations guided by the opposing tooth
Inside the course
Composites on scientific footing
The first module (2 h 20 min) reviews available composite systems side by side, compares layering strategies and sets out adhesive and finishing workflows for anterior and posterior direct work.
Indirect bonding in practice
The longest module, at 4 h 40 min, uses short progressive video tutorials to show how to lute ceramic, zirconia and indirect composite restorations, and how retention relates to supra- and subgingival preparation design.
Stress-reduced direct composites
The final 3 h 15 min follow the SRDC protocol step by step — occlusal analysis, outline and caries endpoint, assessment of residual tissue, enamel and dentin preparation, contact point refinement — with operative footage from live patient sessions in Sardinia.
The teaching team
Deliperi co-founded the Academy of Biomimetic Dentistry; Schneider is an associate professor at Fluminense Federal University researching shrinkage stress; Cavalli co-authored Adhesive Restorations of Root-Filled Teeth.
Built for
- General dentists placing large compositesA reasoned protocol for posterior restorations that must last.
- Clinicians exploring biomimetic dentistryOcclusion-led planning that conserves tooth structure.
- Dentists bonding ceramics and zirconiaAdhesive steps organised by restoration type.

Before you buy
Are the twelve lesson titles available?
Only the three module titles and their topics are published; the individual lessons inside them are not named.
Does it cover post-endodontic restoration?
It touches on restoring root-treated teeth within the direct composite protocol, but it is not an endodontics course.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
