Microscope ergonomics for minimally invasive dentistry — 3D microscopy, set-up and posture
OHI-S Microscope Ergonomics for Minimally Invasive Work Protocols pairs Dr. Jenner Argueta and Cristian Coraini in six lessons on bringing magnification into prosthodontics, endodontics and restorative work without wrecking your neck. Half the course centres on digital 3D microscopy — depth of field, heads-up viewing and documentation — while the other half returns to fundamentals: Galilean versus prismatic loupes, microscope optics, and seating positions for each discipline.

- 2lecturers
- 3magnification systems compared
What you’ll be able to do
- Set inter-pupillary distance, dioptres and parfocality so the image stays sharp across zoom steps
- Position patient and operator to cut neck and back strain during long procedures
- Compare Galilean loupes, prismatic loupes and the operating microscope for your own work
- Use a 3D microscope for preparations, endodontics and microsurgery
- Capture intra-operative photos and video for documentation and quality control
Inside the course
Stepping into 3D microscopy
The first three lessons describe the move from conventional to micro-dentistry, the magnification and illumination features of 3D systems, and ways to shorten a frustrating learning curve — then show the system in operative dentistry, root canal work, crown and veneer preparation and microsurgery.
Microscope ergonomics from loupes to OM
Lesson four explains what the naked eye misses and where each magnification type fits; lesson five dissects the operating microscope — lenses, focal length, light, working distance, depth of field — and the operating positions used in different disciplines.
Minimally invasive dentistry under magnification
The closing lesson reviews the literature on minimally invasive dentistry and shows how magnification raises precision, confidence and restoration longevity in prosthodontic and endodontic cases.

How is this different from the Denis Honegger microscope course?
This OHI-S course covers ergonomics, 3D digital microscopy and discipline-specific applications across six lessons. “Microscope Courses for Dentistry – Learning To Work With A Microscope” (MS-34465) is a separate 11-video beginner course by Denis Honegger.
Is the running time stated?
No total duration or file size is given for this course.
Do I get CME credit or a certificate?
No. Clinicapedia provides the educational content only — no CME or CE credits, MOC points or certificates of completion are included with this product.
