Modern indirect restorative protocols — vertical preparation, zirconia, partial ceramics and full-mouth occlusion
OHIS Modern Indirect Restorative Protocols: Adhesion, Precision, Function packs six lessons (about five hours) from Marco Maiolino, Andrea Fabianelli and Alex Rugina into one indirect-dentistry update. Two lessons are devoted to vertical preparation under thin monolithic zirconia, two to occlusal analysis for full-mouth aesthetic rehabilitation, and two to bonded partial ceramics — from inlays and table tops to palatal and occlusal veneers.

What you’ll be able to do
- Judge the trade-offs of vertical preparation and avoid ledges, shoulders and irregular margins
- Balance prosthetic space against biological cost when restoring with thin monolithic zirconia
- Check static and dynamic occlusion — canine guidance versus group function — before a full-mouth case
- Choose between inlay, onlay, overlay, table top and palatal or occlusal veneer
- Condition, silanise and bond partial ceramic restorations for durable adhesion
Inside the course
Vertical preparation and zirconia
Marco Maiolino shares his long-term experience with the toe–heel approach, shows how the bur actually moves in a vertical prep and what goes wrong, then relates preparation geometry to the biomechanics of indirect restorations — ending with a badly broken-down tooth and the choice of preparation.
Full-mouth rehabilitation built on occlusion
Two lessons revisit conventional full-mouth concepts, set occlusal-plane reference points, record and verify static contacts, and deal with interferences in excursions, before combining direct and indirect restorations in minimally invasive aesthetic cases.
Modern indirect restorative protocols for partial ceramics
The final pair explains the mechanism of adhesive fixation, what makes a bonded restoration succeed, and the clinical steps for ceramic onlays, overlays and buccal or palatal veneers, including ceramic conditioning and silanisation.
Built for
