Restorative essentials for children — 10 lessons on diagnosis, exams and tricky pediatric cases
Treating young patients well takes its own mindset, and Pediatric Restorative Dentistry Essentials supplies it over four modules and ten lessons, around four and a half hours. Frank Spear, Greg Psaltis and Steve Ratcliff cover the philosophy of treating children, age-appropriate planning, the pediatric exam, and cases from severe tooth wear to ankylosed teeth.

Inside the course
Why and how to treat children
The opening module sets out the case for treating the pediatric population, the philosophy behind it and the essentials every practice needs before the child sits down.
Diagnosis and the exam
Two modules build age-appropriate treatment planning and sequencing, then detail the exam itself — curiosity at the chair, radiography and the specifics of evaluating an infant.
Harder cases
The final module works through unusual situations, including a young patient with severe tooth wear and the management of ankylosed teeth in children and adults.
