Inside the course
Diagnosis first
Terauchi opens with his overall retreatment protocol and his clinical data on how routine MTA filling has cut his referrals to surgery. A long diagnostic lecture then covers endo-perio differentiation, furcation canals, mechanical, chemical and inflammatory tissue damage, and what CBCT reveals that periapicals miss.
Getting the old filling out
Why a root filling that looks radiographically perfect can still harbour biofilm, followed by a gutta-percha removal demo with a dedicated kit and three ultrasonic tips, then disruption of hardened MTA combined with chemical dissolution and irrigation.
Ledges and broken files
Hand, slow-rotation and T-mode techniques for ledged canals; case-based planning for visible and hidden fragments; conservative ultrasonic retrieval in severe curvature; and burs plus Piezoflow irrigation for long fragments, all backed by a decision flowchart.
Sealing with MTA
